Sayyid Akbar Husayni Pre University College (Co-Ed)
The College was established in the year 2005. The campus is situated in Sangtrashwadi, the heart of the city on 14 acres of land near 07 tombs of Bahmani Kingdom popularly known as “SAAT GUMBAD”. The College is recognized by the Govt. of Karnataka and affiliated to Board of Pre University Education, Bangalore.
The college offers two academic streams i.e., Arts and Science. Well-equipped laboratory facilities for Physics, Chemistry, Biology are provided to cater the needs of the students with continuous supervision under experience teaching faculty. A separate Library with sufficient number of books are provided for additional readings.
Emphasis is also given to co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for the all-round development of the students.
College has an extensive playground and facilities are provided for the sports activities like indoor and outdoor games. It covers an area of 4 acres and has a fully grass laid cricket ground and 200 meters athletic track. Facilities are available for indoor games like Basket ball, caroms, chess etc under the supervision of special coaches and physical education teachers.
Additional coaching classes for preparation of COMMON ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS is available. The classes are conducted during summer and winder vacations.
The college library contains relevant reference books apart from a vast collection of syllabus text books.
Admission for PUC Ist & IInd Year are open during the month of March/April every year. Admission details can be obtained from the college or can be downloaded from this website.
The candidate should have passed either SSLC / CBSE / ICSE / ‘O’ Level or equivalent examinations.
Each student has to study
Part-I (Languages) : English (Compulsory) along with any one of the following languages – Kannada / Urdu / Hindi
Part-II (Core subjects) : There are two streams under Part-II i.e., Science and Humanities.
A candidate has the option to choose any one stream.
- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (PCMB)
- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Electronics (PCME)
Humanities Combination (Arts)
- History, Sociology, Political Science, Education.
